Our Story (The Short-ish Version)
Jo and Christina have been “dating” for over six years now — depending on how strictly you define dating after surviving a global pandemic together. It all started with a fateful Airbnb booking (thanks, Kama), which eventually led to long-distance FaceTimes, countless train and plane rides, and the realization that maybe this thing was actually serious.
Like many modern love stories, ours progressed quickly from “see you next month” to “should we quarantine together?”. Against all odds (and after an impressive number of shared meals, bike rides, and books), we made it through the global cohabitation trial run and even decided to adopt the fluff child of our dreams, Émilia.
Over the past six years we’ve shared a lot of what we love most — cycling long distances, cooking elaborate meals, getting lost in good books, and traveling as often as possible. These adventures have taken us across cities, mountains, and countries, challenging us in every possible way — physically, emotionally, and occasionally logistically.
In October 2025, Jonathan proposed to Christina in the exact same spot where we had our first date: a picnic overlooking our beloved Mount Royal. Fortunately, Christina said yes, and the rest is now wedding planning.
We’re excited to celebrate with all of you as we step into the next chapter of life together — and to see what new adventures (and challenges) marriage brings in 2026.
